Monday April 7th summary

Yesterday was looking so good to have it just ripped away from me, let me go horse by horse here. I put up a 3x $4 180s stake last night on http://www.parttimepoker.com/ I gave 2 of them to friends online that I knew were good players, also Dr.Gutshot ran his 1st in a series of 10 for me.

Poker_1ab= Sorry if I misspelled your name, to be honest I was not happy with this player at 1st. He let himself get blinded down to about 300 chips in the 75/150 level, obviously this is not good to let yourself get blinded to 2bb stack. Maybe he just wasn't getting cards but you need to start pushing at that 10bb range but its OK. He ended up pushing his 2bb stack with a hand like J8 and double up, then he shoved some Ax hand and again doubled up. He then got it in with AKvsAQ and from 300 chips was sitting on about 4k, next thing I knew he had like 15k or so. I was amazed, then this real silly hand happened, some dude either raised or shoved and my horse called or re shoved with KdKx and found he was facing JJ. The flop was great putting 3 diamonds on the board and making the JJ drawing to 1 out. Freaking Js on the river caused a horrible beat and took my horse from his huge stack to 8k, thing is if he wins that hand he is at 30k with only about 30 some left and well on his way to a final table. He ended up getting blinded down and going out in 18th, in the money but obviously not what we wanted. I will stake him again though.

Slowburn= Slowburn is a good online friend of mine, great player BUT his biggest problem is his lack of patience in these small stakes. He tries to outplay and bluff obvious calling stations and at this limit that is very bad idea. He got kinda low on chips but with his style that don't matter because he is so active he will get them back, again he was super deep with a huge stack. He ended up getting it in the 99vs77 and as usual the 77 wins because 77 is a amazing hand and is my favorite. That hand hurt him bad but didn't knock him out, the player with 77 started talking shit to slowburn which is kinda dumb seeing as that player just totally sucked out on him. The player open shoved AJ in EP/MP and dared slowburn to call his shove. This made me worry that slowburn would call this player down light because he was upset about the suck out, when slowburn called I just rolled my eyes until I saw that he called with QQ. I was thrilled he got it in so good and the flop was great with no ace and really no big draw. Freaking A on the turn kinda made me fall over, and slowburn got no help on river and was out. Then the player still was talking shit like he/she played so well when in fact just got lucky.....real lucky to still be playing. The player challenged Slowburn to a cash game and of course he accepted but by time I went to bed they still had not played, usually players do this, make challenges then hurry and retreat when accepted.

AJ= Aj is a funny guy, I cant really get a read on this player. I think he has amazing skills as a player but poker is pure fun for him and he plays just for fun. I think if he applied himself more he could be amazing player, AJ just played great lost some coin flips later on but made a amazing call with QQ on a KTx board against someone bluffing A4 high, I was amazed of his play and had to go to sleep before I could watch him finish but he finished 13th for yet another cash. I plan on setting up a 3 game series for him when I get home, keep kicking butt AJ.

Dr.Gutshot= This player I want to talk about a little before I go into his game, I think he is amazing 180 player, has great patience but his lack of self confidence and his inability to get past losing flips and bad beats has me worried. The thing is bad beats will happen and if you let them get to you then you will destroy your self confidence, anyway to his game. He was totally kicking it then he got his AA busted by A7, yea that's bad but if you let it get to you then your whole game is destroyed, he did good rebuilding and got it in 3way as shortstack with AQvsAJvsQJ which gave him about 4k in chips. Then a little while later he had AK in LP with a EP shover, he obviously called and one person behind him called, the EP dude had AK, he had AK obv but the guy behind him woke up with AA. Nothing he could do here and even though he got a nice flop of TQx no gutshot save for him. Keep playing good sir you still have 9 games!

Training class: I talked to a guy named Hersh last night on PTP to try to schedule a training course for me. I like this player a lot he is amazing poker player and I want to learn as much as I can from him, he offers private classes for $60 or groups ones for $20. I requested a private class because I fell I could learn a lot from him seeing as his results speak for themselves.

My mom: Today is my mom's birthday so I doubt I will be able to start my BAP today, tomorrow I'm working some overtime so I might play some 180s in the morning but that's it.

Well I'm off till later cya.
